(Photograph compliments of Southern Cross Photography)
This is me and my farmer.
He's the best thing that has ever happened to me and my family. He helps dad in the garden, bush hogs without being asked, and rounds up ducks at dusk. It took him almost three years to get accustomed to my version of the country lifestyle, but now he's a blue jean and boot wearin' country boy.
We have a son who just so happens to have four legs.
His name is Major Payne.
Major is an English Pointer. Technically he's a hunting dog, and he will point like the best of 'em, but his best trait is being a best friend. We got Major in 2012 and he hasn't left our side since. He's his daddies assistant and his momma's guardian. He's also the most spoiled animal to ever live this side of Payne Mountain.
